Sensory play can begin as early as 6 months with taste-safe sensory materials and simple fine motor tools like spoons, tongs, and cups, and is ideal for toddlers aged 18 months to 6 years. However, themed sensory kits containing small pieces or choking hazards should be introduced later on, once the child has passed the mouthing stage and can engage with themes. Starting early also helps children learn to keep their mess contained, make cleanup part of their routine, and build foundational motor and cognitive skills.

Our themed sensory play kits are best suited for children aged 3 years and older. Even though our sensory rice fillers are made with taste-safe, non-toxic ingredients, the themed kits contain small pieces, plastic tools, and figurines that pose a choking hazard. Therefore, they are not suitable for children who are still in the mouthing phase and should always be used under adult supervision.

"Taste-safe" means our fillers are prepared using food-grade, non-toxic ingredients, making them safe if small amounts are accidentally put into the mouth during play. However, fillers are designed for sensory exploration rather than consumption, and require adult supervision.
